Do you find labels (relating to sexual orientation) necessary?
Labels are important but not always necessary. Some might prefer to identify with a label, others might see it as being forced to fit into neat little boxes.

What do you say to people who ask, "How do you know you are gay/are you sure you are gay"?
How do you know you're straight / are you sure you're straight?

What are some misconceptions about lesbians?
That all, if not most lesbians haven't 'tried' men and so it's probably just a phase that we're going through. It's quite amusing, really.

Has your orientation affected your life in anyway?
No it hasn't.

What was it like when you first came out?
It was a blissful experience, I first came out in SOTA and was very fortunate to be fully accepted in a supportive environment.

Is gay marriage important? Why should same sex marriage be legalised?
I personally don't think that marriage in general (gay or straight) is important, I see it as a social construct / a political stamp of recognition that benefits couples. But, same sex marriage is important and should definitely be legalised. It is discriminatory and unjust to deny equal rights and so it's discriminatory and unjust to deny homos to wed.

What do you have to say to those who believe every child should have a father and mother?
Jesus had two dads and he turned out fine. Their ignorance and lack of empathy doesn't warrant an answer to be honest.

Do you think Pink Dot is effective? Why?
Pink dot (albeit no longer a dot), is effective. It actually brings sanity to Singapore. It brings everyone together to show love and support for each other, fostering the community.

Do you have anything to say?
See ya at Pink dot!
